Be absolutely certain that it was he who stole your boots. If you are, then confront him (quietly and patiently) and if he doesn't respond then discuss the matter with his mother. If neither of them respond to your request then go to your local police station and report the theft and total situation......however, be certain that you can prove what you tell them.

Only you can decide if the work boots are worth the trouble. I tend to believe that if you let him get away with it, he will continue to steal from you. However, if he is crazy, there may be nothing to do to prevent him from doing more harm.

In KS, taking the boots from the car would be a felony. It may be the same in your state. If he has a record, then he may go to prison or he may get probation. Either may be helpful in solving the problem.

i have not in any respect had that mission, yet I used to have a roommate who'd set his alarm clock to flow off a pair hours earlier he had to get away from mattress. it can blare the radio for countless minutes earlier he hit snooze, and then i could get a couple of minutes of peace earlier it can start up blaring back.

Report the crime to the police. Keep your doors and windows locked, both to your car and your home. Good luck.

Call the police. Letting a criminal get away with a crime, even an insane one, is as good as accepting partial guilt for the next crime they commit.

Well if you let this pass, it could end up being only the first of a series of similar incidents.
