Nintendo DS Lite query?
Hi chaps!
I Wondered if you could help an aging technophobe....
I would like to buy my husband a Nintendo DS Lite, and I know he will enjoy the Mario type adventure games.
Does the console have the standard up/down/left/right/jump keys, or is everything operated by the stylus like they show you on the TV adverts?
Thanks for your help! x

yeah it has both, however, most games wil have some challenges that require you to use the stylus, but dont worry, its pretty simple to get the hang of, bit like the wii.
heres a picture of what they look like when they are open...

most of the mario-type games are controlled by the buttons (left/right/jump etc). A few of the nintendo games are controlled by the stylus. Some use a mix of the buttons and the stylus. Before buying the games, have a look at the instruction leaflet in the box. It tells you which controls are used in the playing of the game.

it depends on the game.. whether its stylus or controls.
even my mum can play it, and shes in her 70's and a technophobe =)
he might enjoy the brain training games.. the mario games are platform games.. well the adventure one isn't but I have a N64 , so it's the same game.
might wanna get zelda also, thats a good game =)
the stylus games, no problem really. I'm left handed.. even flips the screen for me, so game is left handed, for brain training..
i would say , if buying one. .charge it FULLY before using it or giving it to the person =)

Hi, I am an aging technophobe, (58) I love my Nintendo DS. For christmas this year I am havig some new games. At the moment I am playing Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, I have finished it twice, but if you leave it a while you forget bits, and have to work it out again. Happy Christmas
