How can begin to learn javascript , actionscript 3, and other object based languages?
I'm a very good web/graphic design and very good front end developer (only xhtml and css). My last logic class in college, I got a D in the course and I got a D in my last javascript class and I should of got a D in the database class..but he passed everyone because there were more designers than developers in the class.
So I'm not the logic type....what is a very good way to creep on javascript and actionscript 3. Any good books that I should invest in, a good website, anything I should do first before even jumping into javascript....how long should it take to learn javascript/actionscript 3...learn from tutorials on certain javascript stuff or start with the basics....
I've been trying to learn this for about four years...dealt with it for about six...and I still can't get a hang of it.

They are a multitude of resources. I will give you two of the best one commercial the other free.
The commercial site is www.lynda.com for under $30.00 a month you can get tutorials in both of those languages plus many others. The other is www.w3schools.com this site is free and not as extensive but it will give you a good start. If you are going forward with JavaScript you should learn some of the frameworks like Jquery, Dojo, Scriptaculous, Prototype or YUI. You can do a search on these, read the documentation or download and start using them.
