Who reads Laurel Hamilton's Anita Baker books?

They are awesome!! Anita Baker is a vampire Executioner and a zombie raiser in the beginning of the series, later stories get really kinky with her doing a bunch of different guys.

I've read all of them. It's true that by the time of Blue Moon, things started to get sexier and sexier, until they reached their peak (pun intended) in Danse Macabre - an immensely long book which spanned approximately two days and contained nothing BUT sex. I don't think there was even a pretense of a plot.

However, the book after that - the name is escaping me - brought an almost-return to the original. While it too was rather slow-paced and there was some sex, it didn't dominate the book. There was a plot, and there was a return of two favorite characters - Edward and his stepson to be.

I quite enjoyed it, and I'll continue reading the series so long as she puts out. Pun intended again.

What I can't stand is all the whining Anita does about having to have sex with so many men. And the Richard thing. They should both shut up already.

I tried, but the first one I tried to read was so bad that I literally threw it at the wall. I ended up giving the book to a friend. Anita Blake is a textbook Mary Sue, and the author comes across as a spoiled brat. I know people who used to be fans, and even they are throwing the books away these days because they've gotten so bad.
