can you have periods before the server name in a email accounnt?
ok a person applying for a job at my company put a email down as
don.15343@yahoo.ca
and it doenst work
so if there is a period in the accoutn name, is the account invaild?

I didn't think you could, but according to the Yahoo Help link I've posted below, you can use "dots" in a Yahoo EXTRA email address.
It must start with at least one letter, and followed by at least 4 characters after the dot.
As far as the email address you posted here in your question, do you realize that is a Yahoo Canada address?
.ca is Canada.
