how do you properly clean microfiber towels without altering them?

I accidentally ran some through the regular wash cycle, after using them to dry my truck, with my clothes and after that they became almost useless. Which soaps/ cleaning products work best. Also do I hand wash and air dry or does a clothes dryer also work?

I inspect mine before cleaning to make sure there is no big contaminants in them, then I wash them on a gentle cycle with Woolite. I do dry them in the dryer, just use a low setting, and DO NOT use fabric softener sheets, they will make them not absorb water. When I use the microfibers, I also keep them specific for polishing, washing the car, interior, and just spare ones. By doing this they are less likely to scratch or cross contaminate products.
