Adobe Acrobat is the best solution, but that's not free. I would recommend using PDF-XChange Viewer. You can export PDF pages or entire files to any one of the supported Image formats including BMP, JPEG, TIFF, PNG and many more. If you don't want to download software feel free to take a screen shot (press Print Scrn) and paste into an image editor like Photoshop, MS Word or MS Paint.

you can open a PDF file in photoshop and save it as a jpeg. Try downloading Photoshop from adobe.com and install it. YOu get a 30 day free trial to play with, plenty of time to open the PDF file. Flatten the file, and save as a jpeg!

If none of the others work I know a long hard way download mwsnap you can take a screen shot and it will be in jpeg but you will need to take several snaps for long documents.

Use PDF Xchange Viewer - free here
http://www.snapfiles.com/reviews/pdf-xchange-viewe...
Go to File ->Export ->Export to image
from the "image type" menu, select jpeg
(tip: when you install the program, untick the boxes for updates and help files if you don't require them)

GIMP, Irfanview, Ghostview, etc.
That's just Windows. Linux typically has hundreds frontends for manipulating and creating all but the most cutting edge Adobe file formats.
