Why is my corn pudding so soupy? I don't think the middle will get firm?
I forget that you bakers actually measure. It turned out ok. I just cooked it longer.

You have to Cook the ingredients to a boil first. Then in a separate container, have the starch ( corn or flour ) ( about four tablespoons ) mixed in a little cold water ( about a cup ).
When the first is boiling add the starch ad stir constantly. As it boils it will get thick. Give it about one minute and turn it off.
If it still isn't getting harder, add more starch the next time.

Maybe it needs a thickener; but you got my mouth watering just thinking of corn pudding.

You must not have used corn bread mix in it...
I found a good thickener is dried potato flakes...what ever you're thickening won't taste floury when you have to keep adding more thickening
