I'm just waiting for a one-ton hybrid pickup! When I see that, I will consider it!

In regards to what?
Hybrids are great for emissions coming out of the tail pipe, IF it's a TRUE hybrid like Toyotas. Honda's Hybrid is really worthless...the fossil fuel engine NEVER cuts off because the electric motor is simly an assist. As for Toyota's hybrid, the electric motor is the PRIMARY engine, thus the fossil fuel engine cuts off when emmissions are at their worst: idle and low speed driving.
Fossil fuel burning engines are actually very clean when being run at higher speed, they pollute most when sitting at idle, or slowly moving...they don't get a clean burn, thus more waste out the tail pipe.
Why build a hybrid (like Honda) if it really doesn't help clean up the waste coming out of the tail pipe? I guess that's why they're dis-continuing the accord.
OK, if i must answer...LOL...oh how I digress...I'd take a Hybrid as long as money was not a concern. (It'd take another three paragraphs to explain the dif in cost vs. fuel savings, which makes it hard to justify the increase payment for Hybrids unless you're comparing medium size or larger cars.) TMI...I know...

I love hybrids- my mom used to own one. They're weak little cars but they get great gas mileage (and a good many stares).
