My friend is going into the Marines. Can I get a few ideas for a small and tasteful gift?

My friend "Kyle" is going into the Marines and will be shipped out tomorrow. Tonight he will have a party.

Kyle was my first boyfriend back in high school and I would like to bring him a very small gift, like something he would be able to draw inspiration from or use but he can also put away and it won't take up much space.

He used to be big into religion, but I'm not really sure if he still is. I would like to maybe get him a small cross pendant on a necklace, but I'm afraid I might be coming on too strong with religion. All I can say is that I remember how soothed he used to be by religion and if he still is, then there is no better placed to be soothed then at boot camp!

Is the necklace a good idea? Do you have any ideas? Thanks!

Best Buy - Digital Photo Keychain

    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8581...

It's very compact. It costs about $30 - 40 and holds many pictures. You can download pictures of his family, his friends, and a pic of you and him. He can bring it with him anywhere he goes and look at the pictures. I'm sure he is going to like it and appreciate it everytime he looks at the pics.

You might want to give some additional batteries as well.

Since he's leaving tomorrow, you might want to get it from Best Buy or from other electronic stores.

    Good luck.

i might locate out if any of the different persons attending have been given her a tiara or something "bridal" to placed on that night. I went to a bachelorette occasion as quickly as the place all and sundry assumed that somebody became going to deliver that stuff and no person did, so the bride did not have any exciting clothing to placed on for the night. It would not could be trashy. basically a tiara from the marriage area interior the craft branch and a vast ribbon with "bride-to-be" in fabrics paint for her to placed on as a sash. If somebody already took care of that, why not a exceedingly female infant doll night dress? not the slutty style with the matching g-string yet something basically a splash lacy and nonetheless snug. Wal-Mart has those lots of the time, and its something she would desire to relatively sleep in yet its nonetheless subtly sexy.

I like the Bible idea. You should also write him a letter of encouragement. Boot camp will be really hard and it will be good for him to be reminded that he has people supporting him.
