Aw! Everyone else got my answer! Looks like the beach wins hands down! Well MacDonald's is out because that is a bit cheesy. If it were me? I would take a nice picnic lunch out to the beach, eat, talk and watch the sun set. Then I would go to a nice club or bar and have a drink or two (you don't want to have too many especially if you are driving!) then go home and watch a romantic comedy on the TV. If you were born around Christmas, drive around and look at the lights! I hope this helps, but then you've probably done these things before. Good luck with it all!

I have had some of the best birthdays with no money. Camp out in van, bring wine and a cooler of cheese and meats. Play your favorite music on the cd player, or watch movies on a dvd player. Instant getaway. If you have no van, make a getaway by swapping apartments with a buddy. Or just pack a picnic and take a nap in the sun on a blanket, soft music playing. Take a long hot bubble bath, then cook dinner together. One year for my birthday it snowed and I ended up sledding with my hubby for hours (I think it was my 23!) It doesn't matter the money, it's the thought and the time you put into it. Have a blast!

low funds are the best initiative for creative ideas! so, u r in luck! since money IS an object, maybe use that as a silly start...example, copy some real money...enlarged, or miniaturized, and tuck into a card indicating that u WISH u coulda spent this kinda money on your beloved...but for now...this will have to hold its place in your beloved's heart...or something cute like that.
if it's your birthday, why r u fretting?
three days could be a theme!
three course meals, three hand-picked flowers, three instant lottos, three dollars for gas, three friends go out...etc. a theme could be fun and focus on the 233333rd birthday instead of the lack of money.
my best times with my future husband were all on a dime. we will never forget our broke-past...it's a story i share every chance i get.

shouldn't your "special someone" be planning your birthday? you could get side-by-side massages and have them come to your home if you wanted, or depending on the weather a picnic on the beach at sunset is pretty romantic- sparkling cider (champange if you prefer) in pretty glasses, strawberries and chocolates or personalize it with favs of the two of you and a blanket to sit on and a spare to wrap up in.

Make love in a naughty place but nothing illegal of course. If you are not that far along in your relationship yet, get a couple movies and step up the pace :-)

walk ... and therein you will live and learn... not just that the speed of a car or bus misses a lot... but there is a lot that you have missed
