Wii disk noise?

my wii is making this strange noise. in is like a humming as the disk spins. it shuts off when i use a feature other that the game channel. this happened before and it got so loud i had to send it to get repaired. No other Wii that i have seen except my one i sent in has done this. i am know it is not normal, but i don't know if it is bad. it happens with more that one game too. It is not that loud currently, but the first time this happened it started low and got continually louder. Is there a way to get rid of this with out having to get it repaired again, or is there internal damage?

If your Wii is vertical (in the stand), you could try putting it horizontal. The lens work more when it is vertical, so maybe that is causing the strange sound. Also, you should check with a flashlight or a lamp if your games are scratched (even the smallest scratch can make those sounds, it happened to me).

If those don't work, you can always call Nintendo or send them a mail. Their customer service is fast and useful.

This is the Nintendo Customer service mail, in case you need it:

    nintendo@noa.nintendo.com

They answered every Wii question I had before I entered Yahoo Answers. Hope it is useful!
