Does anyone know what is wrong with my hair? On the top back of my head, my hair feels oily but it's clean.
I wash my hair every single morning and condition. The last week, just the top back area of my hair feels oily and greasy. I keep washing it but the area keeps feeling greasy. The texture is strange. What could possibly be wrong? I'm not using anything different. The hair feels the way it feels if you were to put conditioner on and forget to wash it out and then try to dry it.

my hairdresser ssid ever seven years our hair changes, either in texture, it sometimes goes curlier or straighter and sometimes will change a different shade of color!
along with these changes, hair can become more greasy.
heres what can help:
-NEVER put conditioner on your roots
-only put shampoo on the scalp of your head. and when your scrunning, REALLY scrub. the grease is coming from your scalp so thats what you really want to clean.
-dont use any type of shampoo like a sleek or shine. thats defeating the purpose.
-use a "degunkifying" shampoo once a week. herbal essences just came out with one, its only like $3 and its bright green. it really cleans your hair from everything. but only use it once a week or your hair will become too dry.
-finally dont come or brush your hair too much. once in the morning and once at night, brushing just spreads the grease and activates the glands on your head.
hope this helps hun!!!

Try not applying conditioner to that spot, only on the ends. And your hair may just be changing...when I was in fourth grade my hair was dry. Now (I'm 13) it's super oily. It just changes. Try a deep cleaning shampoo. I suggest Folli Cleanse. That actually regulizes your sebacious glands (they produce oil). I got mine at wwww.skinenergizer.com AND IT WORKS GREAT!!!!!!!!!! And if you're sure it's only that area then try this shampoo on there, then a regular shampoo for the rest of your hair. Then condition your ends.
If this doesn't work then be sure to get ALL of the shampoo and conditioner out.
Hope I helped!

.Are you going through puberty? This could be the answer. When growing, you are more prone to bacterias, oil, etc. Things like your menstration cycle, stress, whatever, can affect it too. People tend to think that mindset or mood has no affect on their bodies, but envionmental and emotional factors could be contributing to the oily feeling. Give it a couple of days, and perhaps switch to a shampoo specifically for your hair. "Suave" and "Dove" are really good brands.

If you dont wash your hair for a while it gets greasy. It might also be from sweat. I wouldn't worry about it. If it gets bad, go to the salon where your get your hair cut and they should be able to help.* Good Luck =)
