Alice in Wonderland?
is there a movie that is a more strict interpretation of "Alice In Wonderland and Through the Looking-glass" other than Disney's nonsense? Disney's story is good for little kids, but it lost the whole point and the fun of Lewis Carroll's story.
Is there a movie that sticks to the story and keeps the point of it?
I got a cheap 1$ from Wal-Mart that is better at the story, but it only shows the first half of the story, and it's not well-made.

Sadly, the dollar version you have is the best out there. I have seen that and actually enjoyed what I saw. Too many people are still scared of Carroll's vision for it to make it to film.

You might check out "Dreamchild"(1985), which juxtaposes scenes from the book with the life of Lewis Carroll and the "real" Alice. Fascinating gloss on the book.

Alice in Wonderland (1933)
It's in black and white, but it was directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz and is about as close to the original as you will get. You are correct, the rest of the versions are really, really bad.
Besides it has Edward Evertt Horton and Cary Grant. What more could you want?

Alice in Wonderland and other Disney shows are as you take them. They can be as non-sense as you think. Be open minded and it's works
