    Dear,

Firstly I rather confuse Which Vijay that come to Sri Lanka:

I'm giving you two version of Vijay for you to Choose:

    Muslims Conquest:

In the south the Chola kingdom stood at the apex of its power during the early years of the 11th Century but declined in the 13th century. Within the Deccan Plateau independent Muslim sultanates were created (c. 1490) and to the south the new Hindu kingdom of VIJAYANAGAR flourish. The stage was set for a religion-dynastic war between Hindu Vijayanagar and the Deccan Sultans. The greatest ruler of Vijayanagar, Krishna Devaraya, was a contemporary of Henry Vlll of England. Under Krishna Devaraya the kingdom achieved splendor and power, but Muslim pressure increased, and Vijayanagar was defeated at the battle of Talikota in 1565. This meant the virtual destruction of Hindu power in the south.

VIJAYAVADA (FORMERLY Bezwada), city of southern India in the Kistna Disrict of Andhara Pradesh State, on the north bank of the Kistna River,50 mi. northwest of Masulipatnam. The city is a communications center and the Local products include cotton, rice, oil, tobacco and machinery. All Hindu religious festival is held in the city everry 12 years. Pop., 230,397.
