Do you have any tattoos/would you ever consider getting a tattoo?
I never thought I'd get a tattoo but a friend on Yahoo! Answers convinced me! I got a small star (about the size of a quarter) on my ankle.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions so please don't judge anyone based on his or her answer :)

Mini - I didn't ask "Should I get a tattoo?" -- Read the question! Ugh. I was asking if you (the answerers) have/would ever get a tattoo.

Yeah, I know I shouldn't let people "persuade" me but this is something I wanted and this person told me of her beautiful tattoos so I decided to get one. I may be getting another one soon in memory of my parents.

Hi Noelle
I have 27 very meaningful tattoos. I know that tattoos aren't for everybody, but I wish that people would respect those of us that do have them. I think it is just the misconception some people have as to why others would want one in the first place.
The fact that you are considering getting another in memory of your parents is wonderful.

I'd love to get a Japanese style sleeve with flowers and koi fish...but yeah that's never going to happen because I can't handle pain well. >.> BQ: I actually do plan to get a small anchor on my right wrist, it has a lot of significance so it wouldn't be a spur of the moment thing. I've actually thought about it for over a year now. I really really would love to follow through with it when I turn 18 in a few months...but well...I was told the placement I want it would hurt so bad no matter the size of the tattoo because it's on a bone... D: BQ2: Yeah, actually! This Friday, I'm graduating high school and I'll probably be chilling with some friends the rest of the weekend. ^^ BQ3: No, I haven't. I'm not a big risk taker. xD

I currently don't have any tattoos. When I was a teenager I was considered the good girl. I never did anything wrong and always obeyed my parents. Everyone would tease me, and I was sick and tired of being the good girl. I really wanted people to think I was a little bad, and not always a perfect angel. So I decided to get barbed wire tattooed around my upper left arm. Thankfully my Mor-Mor (great-grandmother) Dorothe talked me out of it. I am so glad I never did it, I would really regret it now. After my baby girl is born, I am going to get a fairy tattoo with my baby girl's initials or first name. The reason I am getting a fairy is because that is her nickname right now. I'm not sure where I'm going to get it, I still have to decide. Happy Holidays!!!

I have two tattoos, and I'm planning on getting a third. (One is on my ankle, the other on my shoulder). I think the decision to get a tattoo is a very personal one, you have to do it for yourself and no one else, after all you are the one who has to live with it. I took time to consider my choices for tattoos before getting them done. The most important thing in the end is making sure you go to a certified place and that your choice of tattoo is something with a deep personal meaning to you. That's my two cents at least.

I have 6 tattooes. I plan on getting one more. The thing of getting tattooes is to get something that means a great deal to you and make sure that there is a meaning behind it. I am all for someone getting one if it is something of meaning, but just to get one that means nothing is crazy, because they do hurt like he**. But it should be solely based upon the person, you should never be pressured into getting one.

I once convinced a friend to get a tattoo that I knew she wanted to get anyway, and now she thinks I am supposed to get one also...She's been trying to convince me for about 3 years...I still don't have one.
The funny thing is...The day we went to get hers, we looked at every design they had in that place, and not one of them was something I'd want on my body for the rest of my life. And, I happen to like tattoos! Just be sure it's what you want,...They are painful to remove if you change your mind!!
My favorite tattoo is one my buddy had on his wrist,...But, as a teacher, he always had to wear long sleeve shirts, and it kinda started irritating him over time. So, be sure you take placement of the tattoo into consideration, too!

i have considered it, but i never took the plunge. i did go to the tattoo parlor with three different friends when they got tattoos (all were sober...i think tattoos are best entered into sober...)
if i were to get a tattoo, it would be something very personal and meaningful to me, something to remind me what i have, or why my struggles are worth it. something i could look to for strength and support in tough situations.
i haven't found that one thing that i feel a need to tattoo on my body, but if i did, it would depend on what it was if i tattooed it in a very visible place.
i have no problem with people who do get tattoos, but i do sometimes worry when you people just entering the job market get conspicuous tattoos in conspicuous places. many employers make snap judgments when they see tattoos, and can't see past them. not saying it's right, but it is real.

Congrats on your first tattoo!!
I have a treble clef on my right wrist above my veins. It's very nice! I've been singing my entire life and that's the first note I learned to draw. So it has meaning and always will!
I don't agree with getting tattoos just to get them, that's silly, but if it has meaning than I'm all for it!

I got my first tattoo at age 30...no regrets. I got #2 two years later and am planning #3.

yes, I have 3. I have a cross on my left ankle with my husbands name in it, I have a butterfly on my left shoulder, and on my right upper arm -I have two pool sticks crossing each other with an 8 ball in the middle of the cue sticks in memory of my parents who were fantastic pool players. I love tattoos and I am planning on getting more.
