How do I get rid of cold cores (or kankser sores...) INSIDE of my mouth?
I have had chronic cold sores in my mouth since I can remember. I don't know what causes them, but I have ALWAYS had them inside my mouth. I have 5 right now and it's so bad i can barely eat. I've tried hot salt water, medicine, peroxide, almost everything. Any suggestions?

I have the problem too. Any minor abrasion usually swells horribly and forms a painful white crater in the middle.
I find that caffeine and lack of sleep really make it bad.
Stress seems to play a major part in it.
I have yet to find a one-shot cure, but mouthwash works on the pain. It hurts for about thirty seconds, but allow it the time and it will numb the sores without making them larger.
(the problem with Kanka, and other over the counter meds, is that they make my mouth feel numb and rubbery. They taste foul, and they don't really help if you have several at one time. )
After that, swill your mouth with clean water alot. Like, six or seven times a day at least. This helps keep the sore clean better than your saliva.
Avoid poking it with your tongue. It only aggravates the infection site.
If it keeps you from sleeping then go ahead and take Advil pm or whatever for that.
Some causes are curable. This could be the symptom of underlying but fixable problem. Talk to a dentist about it.
If nothing else get plenty of sleep, avoid stress, and eat appropriately. (lay OFF the caffeine, and sugary stuff) This allows your body to better fight off infections, and the sugar is food for the bacteria in your mouth. If you must eat that cake then rinse with mouthwash afterwards.

There is a medication called Kanka that you can buy in CVS Pharmacy or Walgreens that you can apply like gel. You can also rinse it with luke warm water + salt to accelerate the healing process. Canker sores heal good if you don't disturb it or touch it. I get it a lot too. Remember that canker sores are cuts inside your mouth that is just like an outer skin cut. If it gets wet a lot then it will heal slower. Whenever you get a canker sore, use a straw to drink so that you don't take out the medication that you applied and get the sore areas wet.

I got these for many years. I went to the doctor and he suggested vitamins, but that didn't work. One day I mentioned this to my mom and she said that she got these too, but they stopped when she stopped drinking milk. I gave this a try and switched from milk to soy milk and I haven't had a sore in over a year. I don't know if this will work for you, but it may be worth a try. You might also see if anyone else in your family gets these. It could be some sort of hereditary allergy.

Try the sore throat sprays. They work well. And this is also a sign that your immune system is weakened so you should definitely start taking a good multi-vitamin and possibly a vitamin B complex.

limit the amount of sugars you ingest. till the sores are healed, reduce the amount of acids, too. in the future, better oral hygeine is recommended. follow up with your dentist for more advice specific to your symptoms and Herpes testing.
