Seeking recommendations for Transexual/Transgender fiction or memoirs?

I am deeply offended if this is not a permissible question on Yahoo Answers.

    definitely go with Middlesex by jeffrey eugenides. It won the pulitzer prize and was easily one of the best books I have ever read. Very emotional, macabre, yet inspiring and almost motivational. Its a great book.
