I'm tryin to find this video, it was released around 1999, the same time as Alice DJ's "better off alone", or maybe like a month after. The video features surfing, and something about a diary...I can't remember the artist nor the title of the mix...help???

I don't recognize the vid you're describing, but I found some links to DJ forums where you might get some help in identifying it.
You might also search on http://www.dogpile.com/ using keywords like 'music video forums', or 'identify music video help', etc.
