    1) U.S. Healthcare initiatives at the federal level. Whatever Congress ends up doing will have a major impact on the U.S. Economy over the next 10 years.

    2) Social Security/Medicare reform. If nothing is done over the next 10 years this nation will be trillions in debt from these entitlement programs.

    3) U.S. Foreign Policy in the middle east. If we continue to build on our successes in Iraq and Afghanistan by assisting to forge a lasting peace and two-state solution with Isreal and Palistine.

    4) Open Source software is already having a major impact, but the more people that participate the better things are becoming.

    5) Nuclear Energy production plant approvals... Once these plants are approved an on-line during the next 10 years our dependence on fossil fuels will be drastically reduced.

    6) On-Line social networking like Facebook, YouTube, Secondlife and MySpace will continue to revolutionize the way people interact, not only for personal interaction but for business as well.

    7) The International Space Station will continue to provide breakthroughs in science and technology as it nears completion.

    8) Presidental election of 2008 and who wins power during the election.

    9) Immigration reform and enforcement (****) imperative.

    10) Tax reform

Medical: Evolutionary Biology (See Paul Ewald) will lead towards the discovery of the infectious causes of most major diseases.

Lifestyle: Not sure what that means but probably Chinese products will make for cheaper goods / higher standard of living.

Social Environments: Not sure what that means, but you'll probably continue to see "urban sprawl" as urban municipalities continue to restrict natural solutions to natural problems such as car traffic, pollution, housing demand.

Technology: The Internet's continued growth, especially with the mobile internet through cell phones. You'll probably see completely free cell phone service, and a convergence of TV and the Internet, which means a better, larger selection at less expense than cable and movies currently cost.

Economy: The war will continue to undermine the economy because it destroys life and wealth, and is paid for through higher confiscatory taxation as well as printing of paper currency (which lowers the value of the dollar).

Isolationism: As far as the US Federal Gov't has been concerned for the last 100+ years, there is no political isolationism and there won't be for the foreseeable future. Because of this you'll see continued conflict and terrorism toward the US. The US Gov't has a military presence in over 100 countries around the world. If you want to see how it feels to be in one of these countries, just ask yourself how would you like it if there was a Chinese warship parked in your harbor or Chinese military lining your Main Street and telling you what to do?
