most latinas I know are kinda shy and reluctant to talk to American men.They act defensive like we are trying to take advantage of them.Maybe it's just me or are American men not trusted by hispanic ladies?

Just be very openminded & easygoing. If you are a normal guy I wouldnt seewhy you would have issues. I think one of the biggest mistakes is assuming they are Mexican! One more piece of advice dont try to say you like the food or like vacationing in latin america it just seems like a cheap attempt & I notice alot of men that are outside of the race do that. Ah forget about hispanic women. Try Arab and Arab American ladies. They're better.
