They work at the jobs we do not want to. They do pay taxes because they will not file and get it back. They use other peoples ss number and build up their social security that we will never see.

They drive without driver's license because they are not aloud to get one here. They live together because they know what they are doing is wrong and they feel more comfortable together.

There are good ones and bad ones just like everyone else. The good ones come up and mind there own business and work then go home. The bad ones traffic drugs and get more and more people hooked on drugs.

If you were in their shoes and wanted a better life for your family and traveling to the U.S.A. was the only option then you would do it too. I know that I would.

I do not know any that are allowed on the health care program for Missouri. They do like to drink and drive which I can't stand. So do Americans though. Also I have a 1/2 Mexican 1/2 American daughter and I think that it is wrong that some child that has 2 Mexican parents gets papers. Mex women only come up here to have there babies and give them the very best----- papers! That isn't fair! 2 Americans shouldn't be able to have children in another country and the child have papers. If they discontinued this then women would not waste their money and risk their lives to come up here and deliver their babies here and then go home.

There are major advantages. Anyone who has ever known an illegal immigrant who worked his/her *** off day-in and day-out will know what a benefit they are to the work ethic in this country. The immigrants I've known, both legal and illegal, have been a better example of hard work for me than any US-natives. The problem is that there are so many who give the good ones a bad name. I don't know what the proportions are (and neither does anyone else answering here; most of what you've read is Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt) but the hard working ones avoid being noticed as much as possible, because they need the benefits of working here for better wages than their native countries, while the others are very visible because of the media's tendency to comment on race any time a crime is committed by anyone other than Caucasian Americans. Seriously, turn on the tv the next couple nights and watch your local news. When a crime is committed by a Caucasian there will be no mention of the race. When it is committed by a Hispanic person you will see and hear clear references to culture. The double standard is sickening. Anyway, despite the advantages of having hard workers willing to do difficult work for low pay, in the long run that is damaging to the economy. Taxes are rarely paid by such workers, while many benefit from government assistance. There are hospitals in Texas where more children are born to illegal immigrants than any other service they provide, and those bills are paid only by government programs. I have personal experiences as well that confirm that behavior, but the free labor-and-delivery services (while concurrently providing US Citizenship) at border-town hospitals is a much clearer example. The simple fact is that the ones who work hard to immigrate legally are more consistently honest, upright contributors to society. That doesn't mean all immigrants are bad (what an ignorant point of view that is), it just means that the process of doing it legally makes it more meaningful to the immigrant than if they had to sneak across the border in the night and live in fear of the INS the entire time they live here. The immigration system is seriously messed up. My sister-in-law is a legal immigrant from Japan. Even having done everything properly, and having been here for well over a decade, it's still a hassle and witnessing the hoops she has to go through is a clear witness of why so many feel forced to come here illegally. That said, a wall, however deep and high, will not solve the problem. Throwing money at such an embarrassing display of insecurity will never solve the problem. Fixing (completely recreating) the immigration policies and the INS itself is the only way to solve the immigration problem, and as long as money is being spent on building a wall we will never have the resources to actually improve the situation.

do the research. 99 % of the people that work in the U.S pay income taxes whether they are here legally or illegally.the thing is that 98 % of illegal workers don't do their taxes.where's the money that the goverment takes like ss and medicaid, those people never see that. how come the goverment never says how much they keep from this people? the truth is that the U.S has a very powerful tool. this people are willing to do anything for this country all they want is a green card. .if u ask them most of them are willing to go to war for this country and defend it even though this is not their country. I'm not saying all are good but every race has it's good and bad .send the bad back to mexico and legalize the good ones .also the ones that get food stamps and medicaid are actually the ones that are here legally because here in my state illegal people can't get food stamps or medicaid only their kids do if they are legal or us citizens.add up all the money that the goverment takes from income tax from 12 million people and its a lot of money even if they only took $1 a day from all those people.its about $36 million a month

Negative: With a lack of social security number, enforcing taxes is difficult. Living in America is really expensive and with low paying jobs, keeping up with living expenses is hard.

Positive: they do the crappy jobs no one wants for cheap. Americans typically expect high pay.

All in all, Illegal immigration is bad and America needs to figure a way to allow these people in legally (may it be temporary or perminant)

Source(s): I like regulation. "Big brother" doesn't really scare me.

Same way everyone else in this nation (that are all immigrants by the way since Indians were here first) has effects. There isn't one lump sum answer, everything has good and bad. Ask yourself how this nation has been impacted by ALL immigrants being here. Do YOU think it has been more good or more bad?

Im Mexican-American but my parents are mexicans immigrant and it is not to defend them but I dont think there is disadvantages because Illegal immigrants just come here to get a better life not to damage the society, However there is people that like on every other race are bad and do stupid stuff but they dont have to be necessarily mexicans.

    i hope that helps

Positive: They are human beings with feelings and dreams also.

Negative: Where I live- they are everywhere! They have started gangs here, they live like 20 in a household and get help from the government, they get jobs we need, and they all drive nice new cars because of gov. help!

It isn't fair that where I'm from we have plenty of homeless people- but not a single "Mexican" is homeless- they get plenty of help. If they were like us and actually lived in normal housing situations, didn't get all our government help and were legal and didn't have gangs then it would be different. They had a "Gang Initiation" and it was to kidnap a "white girl" and kill her! HONEST! I like them just like I do everyone else.. I just don't like the mean ones I guess... it's a tough situation! If it came down to it- i don't care either way... my voice doesn't mean anything!

My apartment complex recently had a visit from Immigration Officers. There was one apartment that had 20 illegal immigrants from Mexico living in it. The apartment manager and neighboring tenants had no idea that many people were living in one apartment. We heard car horns, loud car stereo music, and saw people coming and going at all hours. They Hispanic-American family were evicted immediately.

This is a good thing for us. Because in the future when global warming cause climate change and USA goes into ice ages we can illegally migrate to mexico without any need for formalities
