What can I make for Christmas dinner that will top this...(see below)?
For Thanksgiving I had: Home made Alfredo sauce and pasta, Italian sausage with green peppers and onions, garlic sticks, make your own salad, and for dessert ice cream cake.
I want something for dinner at Christmas that will out do my Thanksgiving. I dont want to have a traditional Christmas dinner with turkey or ham because everyone else in my family fixes that. And one of my aunts fixes lasagna for Christmas eve dinner. I need enough food to fix for four people (my parents, my feiancee, and myself).

How about pizza bake? Its noodles and spagatti sauce with pepperoni, shredded cheese, and any other of your favorite pizza toppings piled on and covered with another layer of cheese and stuck in the over until everything is hot and melty. You could have dinner rolls with this and steamed vegtables with cheese on top. For dessert I suggest a layered pudding treat, like vanilla pudding, chocolate cookies crumbled up, melted chocolate (or syrup), and french vanilla cool whip with strawberrys ontop for a dash of uniquness.

No Fail Standing Rib Roast recipie can be found under Paula Dean on www.foodnetwork.com. I have made this for our Christmas dinner 4 years in a row because its just a huge hit with our family, and it serves 6 quite nicely. I also serve roasted vegetable with it and have a rasberry balsamic vinegrette for the steamed baby asparagas. As for an after dinner desert, I tend to serve fresh fruit with an italian marscapone and cream sauce lightly poured over it in bowels with crushed hazelnuts at the bottom.

I gave up on the "whole turkey thing" about 3 years ago, and my tried and true for the holidays is the same, and no one ever tires of it.......
Garlic and Herb Crusted Prime Rib Roast w/ Au Jus
King Crab Legs, steamed with LOTS of melted butter
Vegetable of your choice (I do roasted corn, petit peas with pearl onions or fresh green beans)
So simple to do, once the roast is ready and resting out of the oven, I steam the Crab Legs (8-10 minutes) and we're ready......I just got really tired of haveing the "whole turkey thing" and the 87 side dishes that people requested......and I don't have to stare at a bird carcass in my fridge for a week......the prime rib makes delicious French dip sandwiches, and the leftover crab legs (I buy extra just for this) makes the most delicious crab salad to be tucked into fresh pita bread halves........YUM.....Enjoy!!

Will depend on the context really. Which is better as a snack - fruits to me. It's tastier and gives you that little bit of sweetness. Which can be better as a snack if you are trying hard to slice back on sugar and lose weight vegetables

How about a standing rib roast (prime rib). Makes for a spectacular presentation.

For a truly spectacular presentation consider beef Wellington.
