Why Create A Website

You can also get money. A lot of people have ads on their sites, and every time someone clicks on such an ads they get... 0.25cents... or something like that.

Aside this, some people offer to advertise other people's sites (for a fee). If the site in question is popular, people will want to be advertised there.

Obviously, there are also people who offer their services: design a website, code a website, or draw a poster... or well sell something to the visitor.

My website is of personal nature, and right now it only houses my web log (online diary). I don't get any money from it. So why do I do it? On the one hand I like to write. On the other hand, it's really a great feeling that you can post about day to day happenings which may or may not be boring... and yet people are interested to read about them. Some even express their opinion about it (i.e. they comment on the blog entries).

There's no set rule. I just do it as a hobby (though seeing as I develop web applications at work... some people may think that I love my job too much *shrugs* ).

Personal Website: The owner/maker puts his or her thoughts on the internet for anyone and everyone to see. (personal satisfaction)

Commercial Website: A photographer puts his/her photos up for viewing and also sells copies to visitors.

Websites, you name it, someone has done it. Some are just as I said for personal satisifaction but some have made their website evolve into a profitable business.

You can make site for others and earn money as well.

Because to shoe out what they have so people are creating web sites.

It maybe they are learning HTML or CSS any type coding so the best way to learn is to put up some sites and if your selling a product I hope you sell some stuff.
