Is it normal for a 3 month old to only eat once in a day?????

even if your baby has no other symptoms of being sick, not feeding well is a main sign of illness.

That is not normal. you should wake him and get him to eat. This may not be indicitive of anything other then he wanted to stay asleep, but it can mess up his sleeping paterns also. I wouldn't let a baby go for more then 6 hours without food depending on the type of day the baby had and how much sleep the baby got between feedings.

Fo ex, if i took my baby out and she was up because of the excitement and feel asleep one hour before feeding time (usually every 4 hours) I would let her sleep past that 4 hour mark.

But if she got enough sleep between feedings I would wake her and get her fed.

It really doesn't sound too good. If your pediatrician isn't in and you don't want to go to the er right away, call the er and ask to speak to nurse. Normally they can tell you if it's something that should be seen to right away, or if it would be okay to wait till you can consult your ped.. Either way make sure you call in the morn. Your baby may have colic, or even acid reflux. Either one could cause him to not want to eat.

That's a little worry-some you should take him to the doctor in the am! most 3 months old I would think would be eating at least 4 times a day...

That doesn't sound right to me. I would try to get him to eat more. You don't want him to dehydrate. It sounds like he's coming down sick. If he doesn't drink more by morning I would call the doctor. If he refuses to eat tomorrow i would take him to the hospital. Dehydration is a real, serious problem for babies.

That's a long time for a baby that young to not eat. You might want to call the doctor and see if there's anything you should do.

i was told if its over 5 or more hours you need to make them eat.get a cold wet rag wake him up keep him awake take his clothes off,tickle his feet. He needs to eat. That is for certain.

this is not normal wake him up get him to eat. Call your dr tell him exactly whats going on he may have an infection... take his temperature if its over 101 get him in to see the dr tonight wake him up with wiping a wet rag on his face, he'll cry but then he might eat...

Wow i think you should get that check out because my son is 4 months also and he's eats all day and sleeps but I would get that check out

I would call his dr. Make sure he is having enough wet diapers. And if he isn't having as many as he normally does. then I would take him to the ER. You don't want him to get dehydrated. Good Luck.

i think you should take him to a doctor asap, my daughter just turned 4 months and eats a lot more than that during the day..good luck :)
