My computer tells me I only have 700MB when in reality my hard disk still has 5Gig. Why do I get this error.?

I just tried downloading linus os, and the amount of space it takes is only 694 MB. I still have 9 G left on my computer and I can't understand why. The computer does not seem to recognise the difference between the MB and the Gig. Thanks to all of you .

Run Disk Defragmentor. It is quite common for Windows to see all the little pieces of free space, and add them up to give you a total. Then when you try to download, there are not enough free spaces large enough to hold the files you are trying to download, and you get a different reading.

Once you defrag, all the free space will be added into larger groups, allowing you to download the program.

It sounds to me that you didn't install your RAM firmly or correctly. Double check your RAM installation.
