How can I safely and legally hallucinate?

I really want to know if there is a way. It's always fascinated me.

Update:

jannsody:

I appreciate all the concern about the dangers of inhalant use and I assure you my fascination with hallucination has nothing to do with any emotional problems. I'm quite a mentally healthy person who has a deep interest in psychology.

try nutmeg. its a natural hallucinagen and if ingested in somewhat high amounts you can hallucinate. WARNING! Do your research! Look it up and learn about it first, it is not for some people and a trip can last for three days or more. it has some nasty side effects like dizzyness, dehydration and panic. it is rather unpopular as a recreational drug because of these reasons, and also because it takes up to six hours to work and you must ingest 1- 4 teaspoons of it. BUT... with all that being said, the sensation is very, very similiar to exctacy.

I dont think its legal to ingest anything (other than alcohol) with the intent of getting intoxicated, however, this technique is rather safe, albeit unpleasant at times. Oh and in this case, more is not better. Once you hit 5 spoonfuls, one of the most common reactions is sense of impending doom/death and causes short term psychiatric disorder. Have fun!

There is no way to safely hallucinate and essentially cause a self-induced psychosis. And please do Not use inhalants ('huffing' fumes) as that can also cause brain tissue loss and bone marrow (fatty inner lining of bones that makes blood cells) damage and other organ damage. Please do consider talking with a licensed therapist about your wanting to do risky things to hallucinate. Perhaps you're wanting to escape or such and talking with a professional can help to put your situation into prespective. Please make good choices and stay well. (And fyi, hyperventilation can be very dangerous to the nervous system and respiratory system as well.)

bites of certain insects can make you hallucinate although a lot of those can kill you. Hmm. Get a hard knock on the head-that'll do it.

Sleep deprivation will cause hallucinations, but i wouldn't say it's safe.

If you fast long enough and don't sleep you will begin to see things that you wouldn't other wise.

It is not safe though--but it works.
