How do you make...?

Use Body Shop and if you don't know how to use it, there is a help and tutorial section on the sims 2 official web site that shows you how to create new clothes and hair. You'll need Photoshop.

You can make new items by altering what is already in your game using Bodyshop (came with the game).

You need an image editing program. For basic things you could use Paint but you can't do much with it. The best ones would be the higher-end products such as Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro.

But if you don't have those programs and would rather not spend hundreds and thousands(!) on a program then I suggest a free program. Try Paint.Net or GIMP or Photofiltre and other free programs. Bear in mind that these programs are usually limited and may not have all the features you need. When I tried to use free programs, following tutorials I usually had to have 2 or 3 programs opened to try and find the feature in one of the programs and if I couldn't then I'd try to find something close to substitute.

Start off with simple recolouring...then textures....then when you feel up to it you might try meshes (meshes are what gives the items shapes and man are they complicated.)
