Singapore is a meritocratic society, the ease of finding employment here depends largely on your qualifications.
Cost of living depends on where u are doing the comparison with. Within Asia, S'pore still cheaper than Tokyo, Seoul..

The cost of living in Spore is pretty high. For a foreigner, you need to have some minimum degree or qualifications to get a job there - its pretty easy to get a job in Singapore. The quality of life is good but quite hectic; public transportation is amazingly good, housing is good but Singapore does have some very tough laws - death penalty for drug offences, caning for molestations and robbery etc but all in all perhaps the safest place in Asia.
