Do you take charge in an emergency situation?

Or do you panic and wait for someone else to take charge?

I take charge for people I know and I care about- so I'm active

Whereas for others I'm more passive (secondary) if no one else takes charge I will jump in and take care the situation.

For you, though, don't worry I will take charge 100% of your emergency situation :) :) :)

The Captain, indexed on the dispatch launch as p.c.. ok, in line with another solutions: The Captain will make certain who handles the emergency. The Pilot Flying (PF) might or won't be the the p.c., although if it is and then he will bypass for the period of the prompt action products whilst the PNF gets the checklist out and does the freshen up products. If the 1st Officer is flying, then he will execute the prompt action products and the Captain will do the freshen up. whilst the subject is dealt with, the plane will bypass the place the Captain needs it to. whilst CRM is a brilliant element, it is not a democracy. so some distance as who's dealing with the controls, additionally as much as the Captain -- there have been many cases whilst it became much less perplexing for me to speak to ATC, Dispatch, the Flight Attendents and the pax than fly and relate all that to the F/O. so some distance as who lands, returned, Captain's call. whilst maximum ops manuals might have the Captain do it, he might delegate if the F/O is doing ok. inspite of the undeniable fact that, it incredibly is a lot much less perplexing to stand if front of the administrative Pilot/FAA and clarify why you screwed up than it is to describe why you enable the F/O screw up.

I take charge - I did CPR on a man that collasped when I was 13 while shopping in the mall - most adults just stood around. I guess it was my calling - I'm a nurse!

Well, last year, the day after christmas, my friend and i were hanging at her house and she cut her hand with a steak knife and ended up hitting an artery (i dont think i spelled that right...) and there was blood everywhere. Her mom just ran around screaming "HOSPITAL, HOSPITAL, WE NEED A HOSPITAL!" and her dad was pretty mellow, but i was smart and i grabbed her shoes, her coat, etc., she was barefeet being tossed in the car to go to the ER and it was snowing...

i guess i'm helpful in emeregencies?

  • I'm a nurse with many years of ICU experience. I always take charge.

Panic can come later if it wants.

If no one knows what to do, I take care of it. If it shuts me down, someone else has to.

Sometimes you just have to, even when you don't want to. That makes you a better person, by learning compassion and how to overcome adversity.
