Laptop vs Notebook?
Sorry if I'm sounding a little stupid here but.. is there a difference between a notebook and a laptop? I see them all the time in ads and I really need to get one soon but I'm not sure which one to get.
So is there a difference or are they the same thing? If there is a difference what is it?
Thanks everyone :)

none, calling it laptop insinuates that its for placing on your lap while using it. Research has shown that this can be bad for mens sperm production, because of the heat given of from the laptop. so companies now refer to them as notebooks...i guess to avoid lawsuits, cos some people will always sue for something.

They are basically the same thing. The words are just used interchangeably. However, sometimes notebook is used to refer to a tablet PC because you can actually flip the screen around and write on it (like a tablet). But other than that, they're the same.
