Been searching for name of jazz artist (tenor sax) 1970?
There used to be a radio station in NYC in the early 70s, WRVR (100 or so on the FM dial), that was broadcast from the Riverside Church uptown. Van Jay hosted the midnight show and he opened every night with a theme song....an instrumental... and it was a tenor sax. I think it was on the Prestige label. I know it's a long shot but I've been trying to find out the name of it and the artist all these years! Any help would really be appreciated!
Thanks so much JB... What a great source! No, it wasn't Coltrane but I'll go through the listing and maybe something will ring a bell. Again, much appreciated!
