Does anyone have a tamale making machine? I need help?
We have one of those tamale making machines and the dough recipe that came with it is too dry....it has to have a certain consisitancy to go through the machine right. Do you have a good recipe,,,I've tried the ones on the internet.....but if you make these with a machine,,,would love to have yours...or maybe you know why our dough is too dry...
No kidding? We found one at tamaleking.com and they work great....you put the dough in one place and the filling in anothers and out pops a tamales all pretty and ready to wrap in a corn husk..they save a lot of time....It's my DHs new toy to help him after he quit smoking,,,,,,,he took up grilling, smoking jerky and tamale making.

I had the same trouble the first time I made them by hand.
Add a little more liquid to the masa..slowly until you reach the desired texture.

Not sure why you would need a machine to make a tamale, however when I make them by hand a rule I go by is having the mesa some what sticky like cookie dough. Add more broth, to the masa. Flavored broth.
