Think of it this way, you've had more time for your relationship as friends to grow before it went the next step. Plus, if you confided in him when you were in the other relationships, it showed him how much you trust him. Finally, by going through all the others, you now appreciate him more than you would have if you never went out with anyone else. All in all, this is kinda a good thing. Hope your relationship works out!

Nope, but I can't help but to think that without having all of the knuckleheads, you wouldn't have truly appreciated him. Maybe if you went back in time and dated him from the start, you wouldn't have known how good he is.
