Wedding question?

you are supposed to send them out 6 weeks before the wedding. But you can send them when ever you want as long as people know the date well in advance.

It might be an idea to send save the date cards first like now so they have it in writing and then send the invitations around end of February time.

nonono, don't do it in January, haha. You are supposed to do it 6-8 weeks before the date. January is way too soon because people cannot commit to a date so far ahead of time. Save the dates are good because then people will be like "oh! I guess I won't make plans to go to the beach that weekend now! Good thing I knew" but its too early for an invitation because things come up. So mid to late april send it out (and try to put a date on it when you would like to receive the rsvps by-I was going to and forgot and WOW i can't believe how many people couldnt just check a box and stick it in the mail...i had many phone calls to make). Anyway, 6-8 weeks is what is normal since its long enough ahead of time that people can make sure they have no other plans and its not too late to make traveling arrangments and yet not too far ahead of time where by the time your special day rolls around, they'll completely forget about it! Congratulations!

Typically they are sent out 6-8 weeks before the wedding.

IMO I'd send them out as such:

Send out: March 15th

RSVP Date: April 15th

This way, the people who are too rude (or forgetful, or easily lose things) can be called up with plenty of time to get their decision so you can get #'s into the reception sites.

Send out our invitations the beginning of april.

you should sent them out in January that way, people have time to respond and you have time to get things ready and know how many people are coming
