Which do you prefer?
I am 6 months pregnant and we're waiting on the sex of the child, but have narrowed the names down to Caleb or Caine if it's a boy; or Rory or Selphie if it's a girl.

Caleb for boy and neither for girl...
I don't really like Rory for a girl, and Selphie reminds me of the word "selfish"

I am a teacher and always relate names to kids I have had in school. I have known 2 Calebs and they were stinkers but the only Caine I have had tops them both. Selphie is unique but will be difficult to pronounce for those of us that read the whole word and not the letters so it looks like Stephie to me at first. So I vote for Rory for either a boy or a girl. I have never had one of them.

I love Caleb. Caine to me just has too much Biblical baggage.
Rory is lovely. Selphie is interesting, but will blend into the flock of Sophies out there. Rory stands out - it's feminine but not frilly, has a certain tomboy cool about it and is familiar without being tired and overused.
Best wishes.

I always try to think of way that kids might make fun of names.
Caine - candy caine, sugar caine
Selphie - selfish, shellfish, selephant
Go with Caleb and Rory.
