Anone else concerned that Google and other search engines put our personal info on their sites for all to view

I was talking to a friend and she said go google the name you use at places like yahoo and my space and I was shocked! There was all the places that I have ever visited including what I bought on ebay and for how much. I am still trying to contact google to get my personal info removed! But not getting anywhere. Any help with this would be very appreciated. I call it invasion of privacy Am I wrong? I never gave them permission to have my whole internet life up for public view! Please answer if you have delt with this problem also again thanks!

Update:

I believe when your under a secured site and use your password its a vow that information from there stays within there. Not personal information such as a poker site and when they request your name and address and birthday to play...that information can be put out for the world to see. It's non of there business !!! It's not right that my EBay information is posted under my name under again a secured site. Posting what i bought, and how much !!! I'm enraged !!!!!!!!!!

What the hell is a password for under many sites if the information becomes common knowledge for others to pry into ?? Now i can see why i get fake messages from EBay through some hackers based on i won an item and need to send a check because the payment didn't go through !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Common People Wake Up !!!!!!!

Ya understand what? I completely agree. Google is an industry-maximum suitable internet site. Even Yahoo (the subsequent terrific IMHO) purely has an industry-common. Plus Yahoo!'s abode internet site is a lot too cluttered.

Google just index information which is already public. If you've got an issue with what someone is publishing about you, take it up with them and not with the search engines.
