Why are people happier during the Holiday season?

Another topic mentioned depression and while the answers there were all great points I'm curious about the flipside of the holidays people who seem happier than usual. :-) Workers in your local Walmart perhaps who seem grumpy who might chat a little or wish you a Merry Christmas. Sure the lights decorations giving etc. must have an impact but, what are your thoughts on why people are happier during the Holiday season?

Because everyone seems to just let people be more themselves during Christmas and things just tend to be a bit more relaxed.

If anything..I think people become more tense, stressed and unsettled during the holidays...

If you see that people appear, happier, more chatty and friendly than usual..i wouldnt even question it, just enjoy it !

    Happy Holidays xx
