So far this offseason, would you say that the Yanks improved their team or stayed the same?

I say they stayed the same because all they have done minus Hawkins is re-sign their own players. It was a good job by management getting them signed, but they haven't done anything to make their team better.

At best they are even. They have no new players of any significance and I really think that saying "no to Arod if he opts out" then they go back with him is really a step back.

Posada, a career year and they sign him for 4 more years. Rivera, a career worse year and they also sign him until he's 41.

Arod, a career year (statistically speaking) and they sign him for 10 years until he's 42.

Mussina was dropped from the rotation and has about had it and he's back.

The Yankees are pinning their hopes on the backs of 3 young guys and I really think that while it may work out in the long run for 1 or 2 of the 3, they may not make the playoffs in 08 because of Detroit and Cleveland.

i will remark on my sought after team, the crimson Sox. i've got been a fan for somewhat a while now and that i've got found out very right now that this offseason would be somewhat a quiet one for the Sox this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. i think, nonetheless being quiet, this is going to be between the extra effective offseasons for Boston in some years. Epstein did no longer flow out and throw substantial money at over-hyped gamers (ie: Edgar Renteria, JC Romero, etc.), nonetheless he stayed in living house and re-signed Schilling and Lowell. i think that the re-signing of Schilling will pay super dividends. i be attentive to that Schilling is on the top of his occupation and that he's historic in baseball words..yet i think that what he's getting used for, he would be a super scouse borrow for the 8 million that he will gets a commission. I assume that Mike Lowell might have yet another few stellar seasons with the crimson Sox and that i do have faith that he will retire a legend in Boston. Now, Theo will possibly flow out and %. up 2 or 3 arms to replenish the bullpen yet different than that, i think plenty silence on the FA marketplace for the crimson Sox this offseason.

I sincerely think they'll be worse, because they stayed the same. The reason is simple. They are not getting any younger, and several players are reaching the 35-38 year old stage where most players begin to deteriorate rapidly. The new pitchers will help, but mark my words, they could be looking for new blood down the stretch, just to stay in the hunt for the playoffs.

The Yankees were 51-25 in the latter part of the season, they outscored their opponents by 190 runs. Chamberlain and Kennedy have a full year next year. Post season is as much luck and momentum to account for the Yankees not advancing in the post season, as they had won series in the past they didn't deserve.

The Yankees pretty much stayed the same but in my opinion, they will still be contenders for their division or a wild card spot. They will always have a competitive team

A team on paper can be different than the same team on the field. Time will tell.

The Yankees need to get more of those guys from the Mitchell Report. They have had luck with them in the past and they should get some for the future.

ya they are keeping their young guns pitchers but how likely is it that these kids given a start can lead the yanks to a playoff win which to the yanks is the most important thing???
