Why??? Please answer to help me...?
Alrigthy well i am trying to start a book/magazine thing for teen girls... Its about how teens are trying to look just like stars or get their shape, or models shape... but anyways...i am doing some research on how much makeup celebs wear to make them look how they do, othewise, they are all made up and its not really how they look... and with the pics of them and celebs, they arent that actual size because the photoshop thing goes in and helps fix things they think need to be... so if you have any tips at all, any on anything, please help me... i want our teens today to be happy with what they look like today than being obbsessed with changing their body to look like the models or celebs, teens do anything these days to make themselves look like them... and sometimes they go too far and hurt themselves in a health way... so again, please if you have any tips that would help me or talk that you want me to add, please tell me
Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i know dove soap used to have a video on there web site that showed a girl wearing makeup then showed the whole process of how they took her photo and touched it up to make her look idealistic for a bill board. you could also do a flsh/flip book showing that process. hire someone who uses photoshop or has expeirince touching up photos and have them save the file step by step and then print out off the photos and bind them. very interseting! good luck to you true beauty comes from within!

Heres a thought....talk to a few makeup artists...they can fill you in on what really goes on for those photo shoots and award shows! I used to model a lot when I was in my early 20's and I can tell you that I needed to wash my face for 2 hours after a photoshoot. Obviously if you model you need to have a certain look etc to get work, BUT, to make pictures look flawless it takes hours and hours. They put so many layers of makeup on your face to diminish lines, imperfections, shine etc etc etc...they put a ton on your eyes and lips to make them stand out in pictures...and some shoots even spray body makeup on you to make you look airbrushed...and this is before the photo editing begins!!! Its amazing what you go through just to look *natural* in pictures..theres nothing natural about it!!! You should interview models..show how they look everyday as opposed to in the shoots.....its a real eye opener. As for the obsession with being thin etc....all you need to do is meet with some girls and makeup artists to discover that most of them have some curves and extra meat....we are women and its NORMAL!!!! I was shocked when I realized how much more curvy the girls are in person! Good Luck!!

They do it becasue everywhere we look their is an image of what the "society" wants us to be. So the teens feel pressured into having to look that image to fit in.

Its not just the media that makes teens want to be thin. Hello, I have an amish friend who is anorexic. She has no tv and no magazines, and believe me, she has no idea who nicole richie is. But my friend wants to be thin. Its not models who are the problem. Judgmental people like you are the ones who are killing off models careers. And the people who insult fashion are usually ugly and fat themselves.
