The Boston Celtics...?

Are the Celtics the team to beat the Bulls record of 72 wins in a season? I dont think so. What do you think?

I don't think so proving it is better than asking about it

I used to live outside Boston and remember the Celtics teams of 1982-1986. The 1984 team always stood out to me because I think they only lost one game at home. Maybe because I was so young and idolized every player on those teams, I don't see this resurgent squad the same way.

The bench is pretty good for Boston, just like the great teams of the Celts, Lakers, Pistons, and of course Bulls. Those teams had great players filling in around the stars. Granted, the stars made everyone better. Maybe with more exposure, and of course multiple titles, they will gain the legendary status of their predecessors.

Their record so far says can do it. They are on pace to do some serious damage. It is a long season and has been a lot of fun so far.

I think if they really tie down they can for sure. I mean it may only be the beginning of the season, but they are the best in the NBA right now with 21-3.

If they don't make it this year, they could make it next year if they worked hard and if they didn't get rid of valuable players.

No you have to think they have to lose at least 15 games this year it was amazing that the Bulls could only lose ten in a year because they had MJ who is the best ever and Pippen was good and there roll players did their jobs extremely well it's almost impossible to duplicate

I don't see it happening, they're leading now 15 to 11, however they have to play Dallas, Phoenix and San Antonio and of course the Lakers, so they gotta be careful otherwise they will be NBA Champions come June.

    GO CELTICS.

maybe they have 60 games left and they culd go 57-5 in the next 60 games if the keep going 20-2 every 22 games

if healthy, might well win above 70. but then again one they clinch conference they probably sit the big 3.

they played mediocre teams so far (except for 2 teams)

so they are still have to be tested against the more dominating west...once they can roll with the west... i say yes
