Is anyone else having problems to open Yahoo! Mail :) ?

YES! I have the same problem.. it freezes my browser and stops. I have to restart the browser and log back in.

Lately, because of it, sometimes I have so many browser windows open that I have to hit the re-set button and re-start.

I think it is the advertisements in teh banner at the top of the message page. They are probably poorly written scripts.. or not suitable for windows 98.

I'm using win 98... it doesn't seem to happen on my laptop or my wife's PC or the one the kids are using... so I think it is a compatibility problem between the Yahoo! Mail advertisements and the operating system.

My computer works just fine with Win 98 for everything I do.... and I am not going to upgrade just so I can use Yahoo Mail.

No, I am not having any problems. I use The New Yahoo!Mail (previously known as Yahoo!Mail Beta).

Here's my secret: Before Sign On to Yahoo!, be sure to clear all your browser files.

The slow poor service has got worse over the past few days ... this evening it has become impossible to access any emails. I'm relieved to read others have problems ... but, as one of the other yahoo users says, why hasn't Yahoo (including BT yahoo) apologised and given its users an explanation?

It's just Yahoo and to many ads. It's about as slow as a constipated turtle these days. I get everything in Gmail now.

Hey chair wizard, guess what, they don't reply. I've asked twice about the slow and locking up email and have receved zip back.

I'm not having that problem, Moon. However, I have noticed that if you have "remember me" checked, and there is more than one user on the computer, it messes it up.

Always.I think Yahoo needs an overhaul. ;)
