i play baseball and everytime i strike out i get so mad at myself...i feel like i cant do anything right..this happens EVERYTIME. i have dreams of playing minor/major ball and i tell myself you cant do it if you play like this..im the hardest on myself..im SOOOO hard on myself.

what can i do to stop this?

derek jeters quote: "nobody was ever harder on me than myself" which is my life exactly.

THANKS

no one can make you stop but yourself

you just have to be optimistic and evaluate what you did right, not just focus on what you did wrong.

and you're not making yourself play better by being hard on yourself, you're just making yourself unhappy.

unfortunately, there's not miracle answer here. just try your hardest, and if you mess up, hey what can you do?

    good luck!

Stop looking up to Jeter for one thing, he and Arod are hardly worth the money they're paid (I'm a Tigers fan myself).

And stop thinking so far ahead to minor and major leagues. You've got the here and now to worry about. Players never do well when there's a lot expected of them unless they're clutch fellows (which, as we know, so few of us are).

Instead of getting angry, try to concentrate on what you are doing when you mess up,remember the fundamentals of batting, your stance, your swing, your concentration on seeing the ball, just relax and learn, change what your doing wrong at go for it.The problem with being to hard on yourself will make you not want to play eventually,so fix the problem and love the game.Good Luck

Surround yourself around positive people and if you realize just try and tell yourself to stop. And before each game tell yourself I can do this and even if you do strike out just remeber to tell yourself no big deal.
