how do you beat slash on guitar hero 3 legends of rock?

You have to store the attacks (you do this by just hitting the note. Don't jerk the guitar up.) At the end when Slash is on his big solo and your dying, jerk your guitar up! Once that attack wears off-send him another and when that one wears off-another. You should be able to defeat him this way. Good luck =)

I beat him by storing three guitar attacks and used them during one of his complicated solo parts.

Like everyone else said, store up on attacks. the 2 best attacks to use together are the high difficulty attack and the double notes attack. If used together, you have the best chance of beating any boss.

Perhaps if you hit more notes than him you can beat him and use those pwerups against him gather three of them and use at once

easy one again... All you have to do is store up all of your power-ups and when its the death drain part use all of it and he will lose!
