CD Rewrite drive?

I'm running XP Pro SP2. I currently have a working CD drive. I have a rewritable CD Drive in another computer, that I know works. If I install it in this computer & format the BIOS, does it need a disk to load the driver, or will the computer detect new hardware & function so I can burn CD's?

No need to format the bios or change any settings, it will work fine, for burning the disks you need nero software installed, but check the bios, whether the cd drive is detecting, if you are using the single cable for both drives then set master and slave jumper settings on the drives.

The computer will detect the new hardware itself most probably.
