Why does my Hotmail account suddenly not accept my password?
Ever since I returned from working overseas, my Hotmail account will suddenly not accept my password. I have had to change it a number of times. And yes, I am using the correct password. Today was the proverbial last straw. I dumped the account, but in the process of transferring some important information it suddenly blanked out. When I went back in (yes, the nth new password worked) I had lost a whole bunch of job-related emails. Stupid MSN!
Funny thing is my other Hotmail account never displays this tendency. Never!
Obviously, the person who said duhh, wrong password, didn't read the details. If you can't read the details and give a respectful answer, don't bother!
I realize you can change the password. The whole point is you should not have to do it repeatedly. Especially, 7, 8 or 9 times!

Hotmail and most other Windows logins are very tough. Sometimes I will download a file at 300kb/sec (which means I have a 3MB connection - but when that is finished, I can open my yahoo and google mail, but hotmail won't budge. The login process is very very complicated, and very small problems with servers easily upset it.
The answer is to try to get a gmail account as a backup - maybe forward all your mail to there. Gmail never gave me any login troubles.
Stupid MSN - if you want a real surprise, you should download a copy of UBUNTU and write a disc, and install it.... you'd be amazed if you could see the change in Linux in the last 4 months! I'm using UBUNTU now, and accessing my mail, chatting MSN and YAHOO, downloading bittorrents - and never crash or get spyware.
Oh, and it's free.

If you even so much as give a hint that you saw her messages then the jig is up. She'll change her account, her password will be one that no one can crack and you'll never know what the truth is. Let this play out, keep checking the messages and see where it goes from there. I know it's hard but it's the only way. Is there any way to check her phone, that might prove interesting. Keep the guy's phone # too.
