I like mine really rich and creamy/cheesy so I have changed up the recipe to my liking. Here is how I make it

1 pkg or hash browns o'brien with (pepper and onion)

    1 can cheddar cheese soup

1 can cream of chicken soup.

1 16 oz tub sour cream

    salt and pepper to taste

Mix this up together and pour in a greased baker. Top with 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar. Bake at 400 degrees for an hour.

You can do it with or without ham. Rather than type it out here look up on google either "Cracker Barrel Hashbrown Casserole" or "Funeral Potatoes" Basically potatoes, green onions, cheese, bream soup and sour cream. May or may not be topped with crushed cornflakes/butter

Was it the Cracker Barrel Hashbrown Recipe?

Just use this recipe and substitute half n half for the sour cream (or use half of each) add green onions for regular ones and a cup and half of chopped ham...to the mixture
