I know some Pentacostal Baptists here don't wear perfume or aftershave, cannot use makeup , and the women can't wear pants or blouses that don't button at the neck. It is all made up, no scriptural basis.

There are no Biblical scriptures that says this.
Religion has to do with sin, good vs evil, not perfume.

Being that perfume is used with the intention of smelling nice, going out in public, sexually arousing, Islam forbids wearing perfume in this manner. But it can be worn at home. There are natural rock perfume that is burned and smoked which has a nice smell and used in homes and for people. it is expensive. These can go in the thousands of dollars for an ounce. They can be used at all times. It's natural. Remember, Islam forbids any intention of portraying anything which might be inclusive of sex in public. Perfume arouses those sex hormones.

I would guess Seven Day Adventist. I know they can't wear make up expensive clothes, or jewelry (except a wedding band). Adornment is a sin to them.
I don't think they have any backing out of the bible, just the SDA manual.

A lot of religions discourage it. Islam does too. But, I still wear prfume and all the other muslims I know wear it too and don't have a problem with it. It's very rare when you find someone who doesn't because of Islam.

To EspressoKid: That's pretty stupid of you to say. I've never heard of a christian not wearing perfume because of his/her belief. I happen to be a christian myself and I wear perfume. There is nothing in the bible that says you can't wear perfume.. :S

Most religions frown upon anything that encourages lust. And to some, wearing perfume encourages just that. But I dont think there is anything that directly says "thou shalt not wear perfume" or along that line anyway. :)
