Has anyone ever totally covered a car with solar panels?

I mean EVERYWHERE!?? on every inch of the body.. on the inside where people sit..? On the grill? On the rear & front bumpers? Everywhere light might reach so that RENEWABLE energy could be collected in order to POWER the vehicle??

Thanks for your input!

The solar racers seem to do a pretty good job of covering the top surface of their cars w/solar panels. But limited them to areas that would receive direct sun most of the time. At that even with battery reserves the overall speeds were fairly low.

"where people sit" - this would not be one of the direct sunlight areas. Solar car racers = no bumpers or grill. U should look it up, I give - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_car_racing
