How Do i start my dirt bike?

It may be that you have flooded the spark plug. I know that they say this doesn't happen with 4 strokes but it can. You may have gotten too much fuel inside the spark plug and it will hinder the process of making a spark needed for combustion. Try taking the spark plug out and drying it with a lighter and air. Better yet I reccommend you have a new spark plug. Also drain your gas tank and put new fuel in it. Once you have new fuel and a good spark plug here is how you crank your motorcycle.

1--Open the choke to "full Choke" This will allow the carbuerator to inject just the right amount of fuel needed with the correct air mixture to crank a "cold" engine.

2--DO NOT TWIST THE TROTTLE WITH THE CHOKE OPEN---I assume you have been doing this and flooding your motor. Hands off the throttle when engine is cold.

3--Smooth, solid kicks on the kick starter---Short choppy strokes will not create enough compression to start the motor.

4--Find Top Dead Center--This is the point of your kick start stroke that will allow you to have the longest stroke when you kick.

5--Kick the kick starter until the motor starts and leave the choke on for 1-3 minutes until the motor begins to run smoothy.

6--Do not operate the Throttle until the motor runs smoothy--you could flood your motor after you start it if you push the choke in too soon.

A 125cc 4-stroke does not have a lot of compression so you should not have much trouble kicking this. I suspect you are attempting to crank your motor without the choke and you are using the throttle and not letting the choke push the fuel to your motor.

OH YEAH!!! I almost forgot to add. After you have rode the motorcycle you can most likely crank it with 1-2 good swift kicks with the choke off. The first start of the day (cold motor) will have to be with the "Choke on" and HANDS OF THE THROTTLE.

thats odd.. a new bike should start rite up.. take it back and buy a yamaha or honda not a bike from kragen.autoparts

i have a four stroke 150cc and i turn the gas on give the throttle a few twists, turn the choke up all the way and give it one or two kicks... starts right up but takes a lil to warm up.. hope this helps

replace it with a Honda........ when was the last time it was serviced???? a new plug may be in order....how old is the fuel. have you drained the float bowl . it may have water in it
